KHMC senior secondary school provides best schooling for students aged 3 to 18. KHMC looks to enrol students who will embrace the challenges, the opportunities, the comradeship, and the satisfaction that is part of life at KHMC.

Students wishing to enrol in the school must be proficient speakers of English and display the intellectual capacity to fully participate in and benefit from the school's curriculum. Tanglin does not provide boarding facilities, students must be living in Singapore with their immediate families.

Waiting lists exist for most year groups so parents are encouraged to apply early for a place at the school. A Placement Rights Scheme exists to facilitate accelerated entry into the School.

We look forward to welcoming you to the school.

Book a Tour of the School

KHMC senior secondary school provides best schooling for students ages 3 to 18 years of age across our Infant School (Nursery to Year 2), Junior School (Year 3 to Year 6) and Senior School (Year 7 to Year 13).

We would always encourage parents to visit our school as part of their decision making process. We conduct individual appointments from Monday through to Friday from 8.00am – 2.00pm where a member of our Admissions Team will be happy to take you on a tour of the school, answer any of your questions and outline the admissions process.

Admissions Policy

Parents, guardians and/or any persons with parental responsibility for the student or who have paid any fees or given instructions in relation to the student (a ‘Parent’) of a student or prospective student of the School are asked to sign the relevant section of the application form in recognition of their acceptance of these conditions.

The school caters for students who have the following attributes:

  • An age appropriate fluency in English language (speaking, reading, writing and comprehension).
  • A positive attitude to learning.
  • The ability to thrive in a high achieving environment.
  • Individual learning needs which can be largely met within the mainstream classroom and without significant additional adult support.

KHMC does not provide any special programmes to teach students for whom English is an additional language and who are at an early stage of acquiring English. One parent is required to be fluent in English to ensure effective communication between school and home.

Students are required to reside with at least one parent. KHMC will only consider students living with a legal guardian under exceptional circumstances e.g. both parents are deceased.

Enrolment is not automatic. The Admissions Policy is designed to ensure that the students who attend have the capacity to thrive within, and benefit from, all that KHMC School offers.

The completed application together with the past two school reports and reference from current school will be passed to the Head of School for review. The outcome of which will be:

  • Approved
  • Request for further information*
  • Declined

The assessments are to ensure the student’s educational needs can be met within a mainstream school setting and in an age appropriate class. Assessments are conducted by Heads of Learning Support and Admissions and take place on scheduled days per term.

Where there is some evidence of additional educational need, opportunities will be provided to discuss the child’s educational development in more detail, and for the school to carry out appropriate assessments, before an offer of a place can be made.
